New too
Past 12 months have been chaotic. I found out last year that I have asthma. 4 months later I experience my worst headache ever, (iflamed nerve in neck)(neurontin and zanaflex, under control). Now with an injury to my lower back, six weeks later, the pain is progressing (burning, stinging, tingling, weakness in legs). PT on hold. Only pain meds are tylenol and diclofenac. Still tolerable but am very aware that it is there. Had an MRI and next week am going for an EMG. I'm only 38 and falling apart. Have always been healthy. HMMMMM........

One big, warm, tight, hug, handshake and howdy, moose size welcome to the site. This place is amazing!
Wow. Got a lot on your plate. I know the feeling of 38 and falling apart. The warranty expired on my body when MS snuck in. Are you seeing a neurologist or just your GP? Either way, I hope you find the relief you need soon. |
Wanted to say thanks for the inspiration:) Went to neurologist for neck, was unhappy with him and the long distance to see him, gp is monitoring me and will give new referral if things change on that. Am seeing a occupational dr for my back.

Hello and Welcome to NeuroTalk. I guess at this point, the advice I could give you is to complete the testing and see what your Dr says about the MRI, EMG, etc. I too, suffer from chronic back/neck pain, so understand how that can feel. Have you visited our spinal forum? Please take a look around and make yourself comfy.
Glad you found us. http://dl5.glitter-graphics.net/pub/...y62zh6ay88.gif |
