Something bad happened at work
 

Hi,
Something bad happened at work that upset everyone on campus. I spent part of the afternoon listening to my students talk about it.

Tonight I am afraid to go to sleep.

A couple of hours ago I called the 1-800 number for 24 hour Employee Assistance for counseling.
I can get 6 free sessions with a counselor (no copay). The woman on the phone gave me the name of somebody in my neighborhood.
I might call the counselor tomorrow.

oh mari, I am sorry about this incident and am glad that you called about the counseling services. I hope you were able to get some rest last night/this morning. I am sorry that you were afraid to go to sleep.

Hey there.

I'm sorry to hear this... it sounds like something very bad happened indeed... i am interpreting this from the fear of sleep and the everybody upset and the fact you did not state what happened... :( :( :(

I hope you were able to rest, and hopefully sleep and feel a little better now.

I do encourage you to see that counselor. For this and maybe you can discuss some of the general work difficulties that have come your way, too.
