Hi,
Here is a good link about using mindfulness to improve well being.

Mindfulness
researcher Jon Kabat-Zinn explains how to live in the moment

1. Consider what's right with you.
"Until you stop breathing, there's more right with you than wrong with you," says Kabat-Zinn. Every day, take a moment to thank your eyes for seeing, your liver for functioning, your feet for carrying you from place to place. Heck, thank those mitochondria within your cells for pumping out the energy you need to get you out of bed in the morning.

2. Love yourself unconditionally. . .

3. Live in the present moment. . .

4. When life gets tough, don't take it personally. . .

5. Put the "being" back in human. . .

Thank you!
About two years ago during the holiday season, there was a small book out with little sayings by this author.
I purchased it for a friend of mine who likes him. She thanked me all year long. One of these days, I might pick that up for myself (probably used cause I buy waaay toooo many books....I've goooot to cut back!)

I think many folks are simply and sadly in the habit of berating themselves (ourselves) and this causes folks to feel downtrodden, lonely and worthless. This in turn, leads to little or no joy in life, little or no positive actions.

Instead, I think the key is to accept that none of us are perfect, acknowledge our gifts and talents, make a correction as best as we are able when we goof up, move forward each day, give to others as best as we can and enjoy life as best as we can as well. There is much to celebrate if we only see it and allow it to happen.

IMHO, it all starts with understanding and accepting that no one is perfect, stopping cold any "I'm not worthy" thoughts. LOL!
Keep putting your foot in front of the other...keep growing...moving forward.
