Another IPIR (vent)

Had another IPIR today. First time I've had one come within a month of the last one. :Bang-Head::Bang-Head::Bang-Head:

Did the whole protocol thing. Wait until it stopped, call neuro, call SS. Have had this every few months since I started, and wondering if doc will keep me on it. Been relatively stable since then, so have to weigh the benefits in.

Of course now I feel like I've run a marathon, drenched in sweat. ICK! Why do I have to be one of the lucky ones to get this???

Ok, vent over. Thanks for listening.:hug:

Jenn, I am so sorry. I know how awful a full blown IPIR is. My neuro did take me off due to the frequency, and the fact that my last two were within ten days of each other. I just could not deal with them, and after having a different kind of reaction the very first night after I tried it again, I wonder if I am allergic to copaxone too.

Have you considred tysabri? I had problems with it, but alot of people seem to be having good experiences with the treatment.

Actually they've talked about Ty being the next step if the copax doesn't help. neuro and specialist won't let me do the other CRABs since I had past clinical depression

The IPIR is just so frustrating I had to vent. It zaps a lot of strength out of me when it happens since the body temp goes up. :( Feel like a rag doll after my much needed shower.

Im sorry this keeps happening to you. I cant imagine how scared you must be to pull the trigger each day.

Fin,
So sorry to hear you're having those reactions...I hope that your neuro can sit down with you soon and discuss this issue...
meantime, take care, and rest up after this...sounds like the equivalent of exercising for 30 minutes...

i'm sorry you're reacting to the copaxone so frequently.
i hope your dr will come up with another option.

please feel better.

Thanks all.

My neuro's office called back. I see him at the end of the month, and he's willing to talk about other options if I want to do so. So I'll do some digging and thinking.

Good luck when go to your Neuro, Jenn! I hope between the 2 of you, you can get on the right track. I'd be frustrated too!

Sending hugs your way.
