Spinal AVM post ops survivor.
Dear Friends,
I'm a 48year old male and was diagnose with Spinal AVM in Jan 2008. I had opted for open surgery after embolization procedure failed in September 2008. Thank God, I had ops done on 28th Jan 2009 to remove fistula at T7~T8 lumbar area. I was discharge 2weeks after surgery and was recommended a fortnightly rehabilitation to aid recovery. Though my condition is much better after surgery and had anticipated a quick recovery but a month after discharge I still have feet numbness and leg burning sensation. I was given a month more of medical leave as rehab doctor found my walking still unstable. Due to my present condition I'm required to undergo rehab with my occupational therapist, as such I look forward to anyone wishing to share their experience or professional medical advice for AVM post ops recovery. Thanks in advance your kind advice. Sincerely, JAMIL SAID |

Hi, JS! :) It's good to meet you! Welcome to the forums. I wish I could discuss your AVM PR with you, but I'm afraid it seems all we have in common is that we are both 48 year-old males. :D I wanted to welcome you, though. Good luck and best wishes! :)
