Hello I'm Colours...

Hello everyone,

I figured I should introduce myself also.
I'm Colours, male, 15 years old and I'm from The Netherlands.
I lost vision in one eye due to an accident with house cleaning chemicals about a year ago. Since then I've had a headache for 24/7.
Sometimes what I imagine could be a migraine attack, sometimes just an annoying dull buzz or anything in between, but it's always there. In a way I'm used to it, but in a a way I'm not... it's very annoying to say the least.
The few times I've mentioned it to a doctor they either shrugged it of as stress, your good eye needs to get used to having to do all the work on it's own, we can't find anything on the tests... I'm having more tests soon but I'm looking for information myself now. So... I hope to find some here!

Hello Colours and Welcome to Neurotalk! It is great to have you here although im sorry that you have to be here - everyone on the forum is so nice and friendly so i'm sure you will fit in right away!

I'm so sorry to hear about everything that you are going through! I really hope that you can get some answers from the tests that you are having and that the doctors can figure out a way to make you all better.

It's nice to meet another teenager on the forum! I'm 14 and have a Chronic Pain Condition in my left leg, right arm and possibly left arm also. I also deal with headaches sometimes from the pain and medications - my doctor said that mine is a tension headache and is caused from the pain and is my bodies way of "coping" with everything.

Here is the link to the Headache forum that you might find useful - everyone there is really nice and friendly so i'm sure they will try and help you if they can!

Take care and I hope to see you around the forum more real soon!

Alison.

Hey Colours,
Your age immediately drew me, as I have 2 kids (boy/girl twins) who just turned 17. When I taught students with emotional problems, they were 11 to 15. I miss my job very much, but I moved, then was DXed with MS so it is no longer an option. It's beem 8 years but it feels like yesterday.

You are the 2nd person from the Netherlands I've typed with. Both of you amaze me with you English. You write better than the kid across the street!!!

Well if i'm completely honest i should probably mention that my father is from the uk so he used to talk English to us when we were little, like preschoolers. Then not anymore but it wasn't hard to pick it back up when I went to highschool. Though my typing/reading is lots better then speaking.. :)
