Just got out of the hospital...
But not for what you might think!
I had to get an appendectomy : / Sucked, but the worst part was the surgery. The surgeon and anesthesiologist are old family friends, so I was in good hands..but they didn't give me any muscle relaxants for the surgery so I am SUPER swollen and SUPER sore! Ah well, I went in and came out OK. What frustrates me to no end: My mother was DNO of a nearby hospital for years, and she's still way up there in management so I wanted to go to her hospital, however..My neuro only goes to this other one(that I personally can't stand because I worked there for 3 years). So I go there, and am told that she will have a hand in the surgery to make sure it goes smoothly, but she never shows. She was called and notified by my primary doctor about my admission, but nothing ever came of it. I think that it went as smoothly as it did because I had people that actually cared about me doing the work. They had 2 CRNA's and 1 anasthesiologist in there monitoring me. I think that's the last straw. Time to try out a new neurologist... Been awhile, how are you all doing? Since the surgery I have been doing great(aside from the recovery). I am down to 1 mestinon a day, sometimes none. Everything's going smoothly thus far. Just hoping things stay that way :) |
MG and surgery.
Had my sigmoid colon ripped out on October 13th; 12 inch scar, colostomy bag and all the rest. I was on my high-powered motorcycle on the 19th, ripping around the state of Vermont. It's all in the head. I just had to get used to the colostomy bag getting in the way of my clutch hand. :p MG won't steal magic moments from you like this, unless you allow it to! :winky:
Oh, my wife is a CRNA and they are caring caregivers, even to lunatics like me! :) Quote:
