Hello from a newbie
Hi everyone,
My name is Jim and I just joined NeuroTalk today. I have been experiencing a wierd buzzing sensation in my left elbow and forarm for about a month. Of course, I googled it and after a lot of dead ends, I was lead to this group. Although my "symptoms" are very minor, I thought I would join to learn more and take advantage of your collective knowledge :) So, I'm glad to be here and was wondering if anyone's concerns started with just a very localized "buzzing" or "vibrating" feeling. Thanks! Jim |
Hi Jim,
Your description reminded me of symptoms I had sometimes during my RSI/TOS injury. {repetitive strain injury /thoracic outlet syndrome.} What kind of work or hobbies do you do? could it be from a repetitive type injury? Have you looked up cubital tunnel, tennis elbow, golfers elbow or ulnar nerve pain? Is there any ongoing tension or tightness in your neck or shoulders? |
.....very localized "buzzing" or "vibrating" feeling....
This is a very common symptom of PN. Are you seeing a neurologist who specializes in neuropathy? Have you been tested? See www.lizajane.org for lists on testing and follow-up. Read thru the 'stickies' at the top of the topics page. You can search them for 'buzzing' and come up with past info. |
Welcome Jim. I am sure you will find the answers you are looking for. :)
For anyone else on the forum, why exactly do nerves buzz and vibrate? I have always been curious about how that works.... |
Hi welcome. This is a warm and very smart community. Have you been to any doctors yet or for testing? Do you know anything that triggered this?
