Pain Clinic!!

I'm in shock! I believe it was last fall that I asked my doctor initially about the pain doctor in town. She laughed and told me he had a 2-3 year waiting list.

I got a call today from them! They want to schedule an appointment (the message was waiting when I arrived home from work). Woohoo!

None too soon either, because I've been in a lot of pain for the past several months. Hopefully this guy will be able to figure out what works best for me.

I hope that my appointment doesn't end up being in 2 years when I call though lol! That would suck! :p

Hey Laura~ My Dr has mentioned sending me to a pain clinic also. I'm currently in PT, so we'll see how that goes first. Sure do hope you can get some relief and feel better soon. Let us know how it goes when you can.

Take care.

DM, I love your "ASAP" in your signature. Borrowing that! :)

the doc I see for my feet(he's a sports physician), works one
day a week as a pain doc in a pain clinic so he is technically a pain doc.

anywho.....we tried every med in the book and finally arrived at
a cocktail that gives me enough relief to be able to handle everyday
life. Im not pain free but feel so much better.:)

After four years of going to specialist after specialist it was so refreshing
to have someone say.."we are going to figure this out".

Good luck, I do hope you will find help!!!!

Thanks all. I'm thrilled to let you know that I got an appointment for April 20!

I also called the MRI clinic (was surprised they had not contacted me back yet, when my doc was so sure they would get me in quickly) and it's going to be several months before I am able to be seen there, since I'm 'low priority'.

This week I've been feeling not so good. My sensory symptoms are flared up and my head's been aching/burning horribly. I'm not sure if getting the flu caused this onslaught, the weather (cold, hot, cold, dry, damp, dry) triggered it.

At least the pain doctor SHOULD be able to provide me with some relief.
