Soma anyone?
I have ms and have been taking baclofen for spasticity. I am having horrible back spasms and my neck has been bothering me for a few weeks so my pcp prescribed soma. I was just wondering if anyone has had any expereince with it? I took my first one a few hours ago and have not expereinced any relief yet, but I am feeling a bit woozy.

:) I understand that to be a lot stronger than Baclofen. I took Baclofen. It's not strong at all. Okay for daytime use. Don't help at night. I'm sure you'll have to adjust to Soma. Sometimes I just take a half. Or maybe just take in the evening and/or at night. I think it's a narcotic so watch out for the side effects. Muscle relaxers cause me constipation. :o Activia Yogurt is good for that, and water. Drinks lots of water. I don't think you're supposed to be operating vehicles or engaging in dangerous activities. If you're having "horrible" spasms, it may merit the Soma. I know Baclofen is not strong. Just be careful. Maybe the idea is to rest and sleep to give your muscles time to heal. It's okay to medicate when necessary. That's what it's for. Muscle spasms are the body's way of saying something's wrong, an underlying cause. I hope you find relief soon. Get some much needed rest out of the Soma. :winky: |
