Hi all,

I'm up late so I thought I'd start this weekend's thread early.

How is your weather and what are you plans for the weekend? I hope to go to an Art fair at the local community college this Saturday. I'd hate to go alone but it looks as though I might have to. They are having some free one hour classes and there is one I'm interested in.

Dear Barbara,

I hope that you enjoy your weekend.

We don't have full summer weather yet -- some days that feel hot and then some days than feel more gentle.
Each day I have a different mood and energy level too.
I want tomorrow / Friday to be good.

hi

hi everyone.

i hope you all have a good, relaxing weekend... with some nice weather.

Barbara, dang i'd love to go with you to that art fair. :o i guess i'll come along in spirit. haven't been to an art fair in...

... since i left the US. seems like forever ago. here, they have other, more exhibitiony things, but not the same sorts of fairs at all. i used to go to one where i lived in Florida whenever i could. i am not big on crowds but it was in a park and crowds could be avoided. i miss that semi-aimless ambling around and getting something to munch on while looking at good bad and just plain strange art... in all forms. talking to the artists in their tents.

well, i hope you enjoy it Barbara, and the class too if you take it. you'll have to report back! ;)

i am very frustrated with my new computer - have not yet been able to install XP because i first need to back up Vista (after reading about 4 or 5 i'm NOT kidding "addendums" i see they include a way to do this - couldn't they have just included a Vista recovery CD - idiots!) anyway, i am afraid of going ahead with XP in case of some problem... vital missing drivers etc... so. this will take a while. guess i need to buy some DVDs. i.e. blank ones to put stupid Vista on.

no i am NOT excited. this stuff is overwhelming me. and i know i need to be using the new computer ASAP for the benefit of my back and stuff. for now i have found new positions with cushions.

oh... and death week is over. man, PMS was AWFUL (i hadn't counted so i didn't know if it was that). i no longer can tweak up my Zoloft since i'm off the med now. i need/want to learn better coping skills.

oh, i am looking into cheap swimming at a local gym. :) it is $5 per session (no instructor - i just need to swim, already know how lots of ways anyway lol.) that will help i hope. i need to find the follow through to follow up / call / visit gym / get bathing suit etc.

i am struggling to motivate myself. been doing little things like cooking at times. making bed every day. trying to try. i feel very downtrodden and lonely.

Dear Waves,
Swimming might be good.
It sounds wonderful
I love the way the water holds me up and supports me in all directions.

I did an aqua aerobics class a few times a week for about 3 years or more that I loved.

The chlorine was harsh on hair and skin and bathing suit.
Take precautions if you can -- like showering before so that hair can be wet. Or use a swim cap, or work something out.

Hi Mari, Waves, and Abbie.

Thank you Mari. I hope you have a good weekend.

Waves, the way I feel today I don't feel like going to the Art fair. I woke up depressed like I sometimes do and I can't seem to shake it. I dreamt about my ex last night and that didn't help. I still feel bad that he's passed.

I know what you mean about feeling overwhelmed with the computer thing. Vista is so much different I believe, I've had 98, XP, and now I have Vista. I wonder if you get the XP working if you won't have trouble with installing software like people do with Vista?

Abbie, I am glad you have a beautiful sunny day. You sound good.

I'm holding on but hiding behind a mask so to say.....

I'm trying to put forth a happy face... but it's just a mask.

I'd explain more but my brain is playing ping-pong on a rollercoaster....

I think I am going to go into hiding... it's safer there and I don't get into as much trouble...

be watchful of your purses

I was at the mall with my friend. Afterward my friend noticed that my big leather purse that I wear slung across my shoulder had been slashed open with a sharp object in an attempt to get my wallet.

The wallet is safe.
The purse is destroyed.
I'm looking on-line for slash proof purses (metal mesh inside)
