Hi,

I haven't been over here in a long time.

I wanted to ask a question about breast reduction. What kind of Dr. do you see for breast reduction?

This is something I really think I need to do to help with my TOS and other issues.

Thanks for the help.

Ada

Hi Ada
De used a plastic surgeon.
I don't have first hand history on it but wanted to make sure to say hi, I get so busy I do not take the time to send out hellos often enough.

The only thing about the reduction is it is a huge operation and the recovery for dd was about a year or more.

I have 40 DDDDDD but if it were a problem with the C word threat I would have them taken off. I am 54 and would at my age not go through what De did for a reduction. It never helped her pain at all, but did help with bra choice and going bra less.

Hi DiMarie,

Glad to see you posting. I hadn't seen you in awhile. I think of you often.

I am 57 and I wear a 34D but I am so messed up at the top, I just really want to get something done about this.

I do ok until I overdo things and I am not one to sit still.

Right now I have my back, breast areas and neck going. Who would think a fall would make a person feel like they got hit by a train?

It does sound like a rough surgery but I don't think it would surpass the TOS surgery. Do you think so?

I hope you are doing ok these days. Email me sometime.

Love ya,
Ada

Ada,

Use a plastic surgeon for that surgery- but make sure he/she is board certified in plastic/reconstructive/etc. surgery.

Hi Red,

Thanks for the input on this.

I saw my Dr. yesterday and we have 3 things to do to get ready. I have to see my Gastro tomorrow to deal with my stomach issues, next week I am seeing my ENT to have my VNS implant removed, then I have to have a mammogram to make sure everything is ok there and then I can get the breast reduction.

I am going back into PT until we can get this done since I can't keep things calmed down.

I'm trying to move things along as quickly as I can.

Thanks for the input.

Ada,

I had a breast redux in early '80s and it was a piece of cake. Absolutely no pain. And it was so fun to unwrap 'em and go around braless like a teenager.

But I found a GREAT plastic surgeon in Newport Beach and saw all of his personal pictures first. And, I had it done in a proper hospital - not a clinic or office setting.

Sad news is that breasts keep growing (for me) and now I'm a 38 DDD again.

Hi Tshadow,

38DDD, OMG. How does it mess with the TOS now or does it?

Mine really messes with mine. My left side where I haven't had TOS surgery causes the most problem.

Thanks for the info. I will get a good Dr. and no clinic either.

Hi,

I'm having surgery next Thursday to remove the Vegal Nerve Stimulator. My Dr. and I felt like it was something that needs to be done then I will work on the breast reduction.

Thanks for the input.

Sounds like a good plan to me.
