The old nurses club meets again

Before MS I was an RN. We have a group of mostly retired for some reason or another nurses that try to meet routinely. It has come to my attention that it has been 2 years since we have met. They don't even know my Ellie!!!!! One of the girls had both her parents die in one day. I have a lot of catcing up to do. So we are going to meet tomorrow for lunch and have a good time with cameras and pictures and all sorts of stories. Let the good times roll and some one bring the kleenexes. I feel sorry for our waitress. We will stay much later than when we stopped eating.

how awesome! that is wonderful.

I wish I could catch up with some of the nurses I used to work with...and then...there are others I am happy to never have to deal with again.

Take loads of pics, and brings loads with ya.

mine never call me either. I have now moved out of state, but even when I still lived close, they just drifted away.

We had a great time, as usual. There are only about 4 - 6 of us. One of them couldn't come today so we are going to meet next Tuesday just to accamodate her! One of the girls has a husband with severe Parkinsons and is pretty much captive in her home caring for him. She has a sitter on Tuesdays from 10 - 1.

I have given her Neurotalks web address several times and told them about the very active Parkinsons forum and that it isn't just for patients but their caregivers also but so far she hasn't shown any interest in looking. She tried a local support group but they told her that her husband was the most demented and disabled. So of course she didn't want to go back.

I think that's just great that you got out to catch up w/your old nursing friends, Doyd. Sounds like fun and I know what you mean, as I ran into a bunch of people who I used to see all the time when I worked and it was so wonderful seeing them and catching up. Good for you. Have fun next week.

Hey, where's the pics??
