Do you Skip Shots?

For a very long time now, I have been faithful to taking my everyday shot everyday. At my last check up, they asked how many times I skip a shot. I said NEVER! why? am I allowed to? I was shocked when he said once every couple of months to take a mental health day off, or a massage day to work out some of those lumps, wont hurt you one bit. Ever since then I try about once a month or every six weeks to take a day off to do a full massage on some of those leftover lumps.

Do you skip shots? how often? What do you tell yourself to justify it? I am such a by the book kinda girl, that even on those massage days I feel guilty. There are days I sit with that needle in my hand, and have such trouble bringing myself to do it, but I know if I start skipping days, it will become a habit.

Do you skip shots?

I have only missed once, when I was in the hospital. Knowing me the way I do, I figure if I take a a day off it might be habit forming and I'll end up taking more days off than shots. I don't take a daily shot though, so it has got to be harder to stick with the program day in and day out.

I've been really bad lately...sometimes I skip 2 days...I either forget or not in the mood to hurt myself. I'm tired of the regimine...

Every now and then I do a drug free weekend. No 4-Ap or Copaxone. I still do my dose of LDN because its so innocuous and I love the dreams. I especially have no problem not doing the belly shot.

When I was still taking shots (for about 3 1/2 years) I never, ever skipped one. I'm very routine oriented.

I'm really bad about skipping shots. (copaxone)

Couple of times a week probably. When I first started tho, I did pretty good for about the first year and a half...

In December, I took a two week vacation from Betaseron. Then at the end of January when DH had kidney surgery, I took a week off because he's the one who gives me my shots.

I also missed two doses when we visited my BIL last month.

I think it's getting easier for me to miss a dose or two without any guilt because I'm going downhill and contemplating stopping Beta at my 3rd year mark in October, and not taking any more of the DMD's.

When I saw my neuro the other day, and he mentioned that he thinks that LDN is a placebo, and then in the same breath said that he thinks all the injectible meds for MS dont really do anything either, that's when I started to kind of lose confidence in the Copaxone.

I'm still going to do the shots for awhile, but I'm not going to worry much if I miss a few days.

Jim and I forget sometimes, maybe once a month. It's every other day and sometimes you just forget. He takes it when we realize it but like Azoyizes we're beginning to wonder if it even works. He used to take Avonex and stopped due to the side effects but we skipped that one even more because of that and his MRI was clean. Who knows?

I forget sometimes. At one time I switched from taking them at night before bed to taking them in the a.m. after my shower. It was harder for me to remember in the a.m. than at night as I was more focused on what I had to do that day. I now back to doing them at night.;)
