Thank you all,

I am doing ok. Really depressed but I think it's due to the anestesia that I had and other meds for the surgery.

They had to do a larger cut in my neck and in my left chest area to get them out then what they did to put the VNS and wires in. I was surprised by the size of the cuts.

I am glad to have them out. I honestly think that in the past few months I had moved that box and it was doing something to the back of my shoulder. Hopefully that pain will be gone for good.

They couldn't do a block but they did fill the areas full of lidocaine. I am hoping that will keep is from spreading.

My big thrill of the day was meeting Diana. OMG did we have a ball. She got there around 9:30 and stayed with me until 2 and helped me get my gown tied and my jewelry locked up. She wouldn't leave me until they took me up to the operating room.

We sat in the cafeteria and talked then we went outside on the grass and sit in the sun and talked and laughed. We laughed so much, it sure kept my mind off of my surgery.

She is definatly my kind of person, down to earth and loves to laugh.

Thanks to all of you for your good thoughts. I am very blessed to have so many good people in my life.

Thank you too, Carrie, for posting for me. You and Diana have become a great enjoyment to me.

Ada

I'm so glad that you and Diana had a great time together; what a wonderful way to spend time before surgery!

Hope you recover well from the surgery!!!

Ada,

I'm so happy that you and Carrie got to spend time together. Laughing is so good for the soul.
I hope your recovery is quick and pleasant.
Sometimes it's hard to understand why god allows us to go through certain situations. But please remember this no matter what. God is there with you through it all and that others who care are keeping you in their prayers.
Take care,
Sherrie
