Would this be Hemp Oil?

Cannabidiol: The Wonder Drug of the 21st Century?

The traditional use of Cannabis as an analgesic, anti-asthmatic, and anti-rheumatic drug is well established. This British study also suggests that cultivation of Cannabis plants rich in Cannabidiol (CBD) and other phenolic substances would be useful not only as fiber producing plants but also for medicinal purposes in the treatment of certain inflammatory disorders. CBD was found to be more effective than aspirin as an anti-inflammatory agent. "Analgesic and Anti-inflammatory Activity of Constituents of Cannabis Sativa L.," E.A. Formukong, A.T. Evans, and F.J. Evans, Inflammation, Vol. 4, 1988, pp. 361-371.

Cannabidiol, CBD, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid of Marijuana, was given to 5 patients with dystonia disorders. Improvement occurred in all 5 patients by 20-50%. "Open Label Evaluation of Cannabidiol in Dystonic Movement Disorders," Consroe, et al, International Journal of Neuroscience, 1986, Vol. 30, pp.277-282.

Three patients with Huntington's Disease who had been previously unresponsive to therapy with neuroleptics, were given Cannabidiol, (CBD), a non-psychoactive cannabinoid of Marijuana. After the second week improvement in choreic movement occurred by 20-40%. Except for transient, mild hypo-tension no side effects were recorded."Effects of Cannabidiol in Huntington's Disease," Sandyk, Consroe, Stern, and Snider, Neurology, 36 (Suppl. 1) April, 1986, p.342.

Where is this stuff?

First, how can one get this? Looks like it might be illegal, but it doesn't have the TCH/THC in it so why would it be illegal? How much would you take, also, anyone know?

I am asking because I did some additional research into this and there are studies going back as far as 1986 by branches of NIH showing this to be very effective for several things, including breast cancer which gets HUGE funding and has for years, this sounded like it darn near cured that cancer. What happened to all that research, it was so promising! What I read actually used the word "neuroprotective" which is what all the drug companies have been trying come up with, why aren't they looking at this?

But I'm mainly interested in how one could get this, I found a source, but it sells to places conducting clinical trials and I'm not sure an individual could get it. Thanks.!

That's why I was asking if it is the same as hemp oil, which is much easier to get.

Bringing this old question back. Is hemp oil ( which seems to be easily ordered online) useful ?

This clearly and concisely explains the massive difference.

Dave.

Hemp oil is really "hemp seed oil". It is legal but is not the same as cannabidiol oil which is extracted Cannabis leaves where the active medicinal ingredients are. Cbd oil does contain thc in various amounts depending on the plant strain. There is a company that extracts cbd oil from hemp seeds which is legal, but it is fairly expensive as it takes a large amount of hemp seeds to process. Cbd oil may be legal in your state with a doctors preprescription. If you live in Colorado or California you will have an easier time obtaining cbd oil.

Where to get cbd

There is an online store that sells cbd and ships to all over the U.S. Their cbd comes from hemp and contains no thc. I have been using their products for a long time and they are excellent. Website is:
Www. Sootheen.com. They're products are lab tested and although all cbd products are costly because the process is expensive, this company gives you a good product you can count on.

So madam, how long have you been using this and what have you noticed from taking it?

Thanks

I've been using cbd products for about two years. It cuts down on my joint pain and is an important part of my sleep regimen. That's the liquid cbd which I take orally. The topical cream from the same company does wonders for my neuropathy which is severe.
