Cymbalta??

I was just put on Cymbalta and am finding myself extremely tired during the day. Has anyone else felt these side effects? I have had to take a nap 2 days in a row. Very unusual for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Linda

Hi LinJane and welcome..I also take Cymbalta about 6 months now 120 mg now. It's difficult to determine if it makes me tired as I don't sleep well at night. Don't usually get to sleep till 3-5 in the am. then sleep anywhere from 9-1. I personally feel good on cymbalta to being on two other anti-depressants double dosed. Paxil cr and Wellbutgrin xl and 3200 mg of neurotin. they all wiped me out, no energy at all. I have more burning pain, but at least I'm no in a fog all day. I do cry more than before, but maybe that is good release for the pain.
Everyone is different in their meds. How long have you had RSD? For me it has been 13 years and now full body. I' mobile , which I'm grateful for. Have had a lot of pt and massage therapy and I swim which helps a lot. I'm trying to build up my stamina.
Where is your RSD and what is your treatment? Hope you have a good Dr. with experience. Most of us have been to several Drs. I was four years before being diagnosed. Welcome to the forum and hope you are having a better day. loretta:)

hey there

I have been on Cymbalta for over 4 yrs. It is a wonderful drug that helps my depression/anxiety, as well as neuropathy. At first, I was sleepy and nauseous taking Cymbalta. My doc had me switch to taking Cymbalta just before bed, that way the sleep issue is happening at the correct time.

I take this as well though sleep is not a sidee issue I feel. I know when I started it I took it at night with dinner cause of it causing some stomach upset in individuals. I wonder if you changed the time you take it if your doctor says it is ok.

Most people i believe take it as i do at bedtime.
