It's almost 90 degrees here (yes, Vermont) and somebody asked me to go outside and do something. I said that I can't do heat, and he said "It will only take 15 minutes." Then I had an Aha! moment.

He has asthma and allergies, so I said, "I will if you'll go into the candle shop with me for only 15 minutes." He said, "Are you kidding? If I spent 15 minutes in the candle shop, I wouldn't be able to breathe for two days!" Then he just stared at me and I saw the light dawn.

It's not exactly the same, but it's a meeting place for understanding. Each little step counts.

Good for you, B2Y!! Sometimes we just have to find something that the other person can relate to in regards to their own limitations in order to make them understand ours. I'm still trying to find that "something"!! :p
