I just bought an Elliptical

My treadmill died (I wore it out ) and we finally decided to go find a replacement. There was a treadmill I really liked but I was curious about an Elliptical so I wandered over to take a look.

I got on and away I went. That's it! I am hooked on the Elliptical!

We stayed in the store for awhile so I could be sure. Back and forth I went trying the treadmill then the Elliptical.

Why I decided on the Elliptical:

I felt like I was getting a better workout

I was actually bending my knees! ( my knees really don't bend all that much when I walk. Haven't for years) I avoid stepping up and down curbs as much as possible.

More of a core strength workout than a treadmill offers...at least for me.

I don't have to worry about lifting my legs - many times on the treadmill or even going for a walk my feet do not clear the ground but "slide" which can cause tripping.

The Elliptical is supposed to be deliverd Saturday morning...I can't wait!
They will also be sending out a personal trainer in about a week to help me get the most benefit from it and to answer any questions I have.

Okay Snoopy, what is an Elliptical, if you don't mind me asking?

Do you have a link or picture?

I wish you all the best with it!!

I have one too... but I don't use it. Not because I can't ... I just forget and when I remember, I put it off. :o I do wipe the dust off though!:winky:

Again, good wishes to you and I'm happy someone is out there exercising!

Niko:cool:

Good for you! I have one and love it! My poor treadmill just sits there collecting dust!

Congratulations, LA, I LOVE those things! They are WAY fun! I go on the ones at the mall, the guys hate it because they're sure I'll wipe out, but as long as I hang on tight and don't try to lift my feet, I can wiz away for 5-6 minutes straight without falling off. Then I usually fall off.:o

I find it's so much easier to hang your clothes off the bars of an elliptic rather than drape them over a treadmill. Far superior at collecting dust and hanging crap off. :D

$pensive little devil..

LOL, Puds!!

I have one too Snoopy and I love it. :) It will really give your heart and lower body a workout without the impact on your joints. Ours is a Schwinn, a cheaper but good model too, though yours is nice that it doesn't take up much floor space.
