That's pretty funny. That is the vocal babbling stage...my son went thru that. He really didn't talk much until he was 3, but around 8-10 months he used to carry on with inflection like this
babe, with nonsense. Mostly when adults were talking around him in the room. He was not so nasal however ;)

Oddly enough, my son babbled like that, but my daughter didn't! When she started talking it was complete words and totally understandable. Now, however, she never shuts up!
