What's on your plate today....

I haven't had any coffee yet but it's in my immediate future. *grin

A hummingbird has nested in a tin hat that hangs on the barn door as a decoration and I hope to get a picture of their coming in and out but they are fast little suckers. :D

The robins have decided that they also like grape jelly and are having more than their fair share.

If it stops rainning long enough I need to plant the rest of the perrenials I bought yesterday...going to meet Barbo for lunch and I will not have a cookie skillet. :D

What's on your plate?.....

I've got a day off work today :) ,except it was on the activity calendar for me to make fudgy buttons with the alzheimers residents so i'll get my stuff together and go do that at 2:30. Its the last day of school for both my kiddos. Even thought Scott graduated Saturday he has to go back and take finals. I'll go to the hospital and visit my FIL at some point today as well.
I'm looking forward to a relaxing day. After the past two days i need one. love you guys

I woke up to sunshine. Since we are on watering restrictions I ran out to the yard to water the flowers and grass during my allotted time :)

I'm walking to work - about 20 minutes then working for 5 hours - then walking home.

I checked my facebook account and see it is "closed for maintenance" (I'm addicted to playing scrabble)

I'm looking forward to a visit from my grandaughter (the 2nd time I'll see her - she's 8 months old now) next month! Doing the happy dance here!

My health is good (both physical and mental) and I'm happy, altho bored at times.. what's that all about!??!!!

Nik-key 05-29-2009 12:13 AM

((Addy)) awwwww, so happy to hear you will be seeing your grandbaby!!! Take lots of pictures for us :D

Alffe 05-29-2009 07:53 AM

I hope to get the grass cut (when it warms up!) and finish planting in the containers. I was wrong about the hummingbirds in the tin hat...they are wrens! We have hummingbirds in the yard and at the feeder but I haven't found their nest.

It was great to hear from our Nikki.. And from Addy.. I can't help but wonder if BJ party'd late into the night...*grin. And I wonder if Jenni is back in the hospital getting help.

That reminds me of the shortest prayer....Help, help, help.

Hugs for the broom/room. :grouphug:

Just got back from Sunday service at the church we were married in 51 + yrs ago...reassuring to see those same beautiful stained glass windows.
And of course it's Pentecostal Sunday so Happy Birthday Church. *grin

We really liked this new Pastor...a woman..There are several more to visit before finding a new "home" but this one will definitely be on the list. We did say special prayers for Moi who is facing some very tough surgery...when we hear a date we'll ask for prayers in the Sanctuary as there are many people on these forums that will want to send their love to him.

I just got an email from a friend who told me "It's never too late to have a great childhood". I love that! Mr.Alffe is starting a fire, going to cook out..it's a beautiful day here. More later.

Hugs for the broom/room. :grouphug:

If I get someone to stay with the Kid, I am going to go to a movie. By myself. Maybe to dinner too....
Time for me to enjoy life some..even if I have to do it on my own.
Good to see everyone's about...

Doody 06-01-2009 08:35 AM

(((Ducky my friend))) You deal 24/7 with da kid. Sometimes I get really bored with myself, LOL! Cara stayed with me last night and we sat on the porch swing when it got dark. Thunderstorms were in the distance entertaining us with spectacular displays. It felt good to sit and conversate with someone besides just myself.

Ya know, Doody, I never get time to myself. But da brother stayed with the Kid and I went to see Up. I didn't go to dinner, but came home and cooked for Jim and the Kid. I really enjoyed the movie. It wasn't a kid's movie so much, though the little guys seemed to enjoy it. It was a story of loss and what comes after. I liked it. But if you cry easy.... take a tissue.
What's on my plate today? Nothing...I am resting up the hurt knee before going back to work tomorrow. Let's hope this does it. I don't want to have surgery!
Your storm watching night sounds great, Doody....I love doing that.
Hope everyone is doing well...
