I have a new roommate!

(Well, two, if you count the kitten. :) )

She is quiet and well-behaved. She is very clean. In fact, she cleans incessantly, but only the floors -- can't get her to load the dishwasher. Or do laundry. I think she must have OCD.

Her name is Roomba, and now that she is here, I can't get a thing done cuz I'm too busy watching her do her thing! She is absolutely mesmerizing!

I'd write more, but here she comes again. :D

I need one of those.

Was she expensive? Where'd you find her? What does the kitten think of her? Does she get stuck alot (under, behind or around things)?

It's becoming harder and harder for me to vacuum......back and leg spasms seem to know when it's time for me to clean! I might need to invest in one of those Roomba things!

Yay for you!

Keep us posted as to what kind of job she does. I could use a little help too.

Funny you should ask about her getting stuck. While I was posting this thread she became lost! I've looked under the beds and still can't find her.

Yesterday (her first day on the job) she got stuck under the coffee table and shut down while I was at the dentist's office.

Here is the HSN info where I got her (I didn't pay full price). http://alturl.com/ihnz

Well, I happened to look in the closet and there she was! I have access to the crawlspace in there, and she got hung up on an uneven floor. I wish she had a locator, like my cordless phone.

Pretty cool! I could use one of those.

That thing is pretty high on my wish list. :)

Aarcyn 06-03-2009 04:35 PM

do those things actually work??

For a moment, I thought you had picked up yet another stray animal. A dog.

I think a Roomba is going on my Christmas Wish List.

Twinkletoes 06-03-2009 11:35 PM

"Sven," eh? :D Maybe we should have a "Name that Roomba" contest for mine!

I guess it works: there was stuff in the little dirt bin to empty.

The kitten is pretty mellow about Roomba so far. Maybe I'll let him have a ride on it tomorrow and see what happens. ;)
