I am glad I found friends

Hi, I was diagnosed about four years ago with mmncd, I have had one and a half years of IVIG therepy. I believe it has helped to slow the progressin of this problem. I started with a foot-drop, which has now grown to right sided weakness, and the use of a walker. I am 62 and have a great family support system, but I need friends who truely know what this is like. I do feel isolated. di2005

Hi di2005 and welcome to NeuroTalk. I don't know what mmncd stands for but I understand isolation. This is a great place to make friends, find support and exchange information. I'm glad you found us. :grouphug:

Hello, and welcome to NeuroTalk! This is such a great place to hang out, make new friends, and learn so much.

I would like to point you to a forum, but I also don't know what the abbreviation of your illness stands for. If you could tell us more, someone will be able to help you.

I will give you links that may get you started, at least.

H Alffe, thanks for the welcome. MMNCD stands for Multifocal Motor Neuropothy With Conduction Blockage. It has taken away the use of my right leg and some of the left foot, started with a right foot drop. Do you know of it or someone who does? Any information would be welcome. Thanks di2005
