Groomers?

My Poms have not been to the groomer and they are ginormous. Clean now, as they just had a bath. Ozzy has only been clipped here, and Millie, who knows if she ever went except when Planned Pethood took her.

I'm concerned how to get them used to this idea, because I'm going to start taking them.
Any way to make this a positive thing?

I used to take Sophie, but she was all poodle, she loved the primping and fussing. I get the feeling these little monsters are not going to be happy about it though, lol.

I don't know if you have this where you are, but we use a mobile groomer for Hobbit. I call & make an appointment, he drives up in his van and does the evil deed ("bath" is a 4 letter word to my dog)..It's easier on both groomer and dog, and I'm right there if there's a problem. Doesn't cost any more than taking him to a groomer either..

Well, I'm not sure. I bathe and groom Bruna at home. I switch back and forth on the trimming the nails. Sometimes I do them at home.

All you can do is try and see how it goes. Let us know!
