craniosacral therapy: quackery? not?
i want to try craniosacral therapy, as a therapist at the place where i get PT does it, and because i read a miracle cure story about it once (those miracle cure stories are like crack!). my main doctor told me that it's baloney, but i'm willing to lay down a few bucks to find out for myself.
does anyone have any opinions, experiences, advice? be honest--i'm just trying to exhaust my shrinking pool of non-ketamine options (as if my health care would cover ketamine). |

My PT does cranio work and while I do not have RSD it is a therapy that works for me.
You can go to www.iahp.com to search for an upledger trained cranio person in your area. Hope it works for you |
It helps me, but occipital neuralgia is part of my problem (RSD, fibro, CF, ON, TOS)

My physiotherapist tried craniosacral therapy for my CRPS but it was a complete waste of time. Absolutely nothing happened either good or bad. I went into it with an open mind because I was already at the stage where nothing else was making any difference. We had by then run out of things to try so I had absolutely nothing to lose. I didn't have to pay for the treatment - it was free (I am in the UK) and I had several sessions becuase she was interested in trying it on me. I have to be honest, if I'd been given the option but there had been a charge, I wouldn't have bothered with it. However, if you are offered something harmless for free why would you not give it a try? Since you are going to have to pay for the treatment I suppose you need to think hard about whether it is worth it. I guess only you can decide what to do but good luck. |
Thanks everyone for responding! I'm able to try it out for about 25 bucks at my PT place, so why not. That's about how much I paid for acupuncture (which made my foot feel weird instead of better, so I stopped).

But my attorney has informed me that he has WC RSD clients that ARE receiving ketamine in Boston. So it depends on who is providing your coverage. Sandy |
