How many
Does some people end up in wheelchairs over 1 lesion? I am asking this because I have two lesions in the brain and one on cspine. The doctor I seen yesterday said that my mri looks better than my actual symptoms. He said he wasn't saying it was my fault that we all just cope differently this being the same guy who was ill with me for saying I wanted to try copaxone before trying Ty. He really frustrated and upset me. I am suppose to see a new neurologist next week but this guy I seen yesterday was suppose to be a ms specialist and he was a real jerk.

Other people have a few or one lesion placed in the wrong location and they have major symptom issues. gmi |

There are a lot of neuros who fit this description. Keep searching until you find one that you feel comfortable using for your needs. They are easy to fire unless you are in a HMO insurance plan. gmi |
I think it's different for everyone but location of lesion seems to play a part in how the disease affects a person. Jim's had ms for 21 years now and is in a wheelchair. He used to have enhancing lesions, lit up like a holiday tree and walking! Now his MRI shows no new lesions, no active, nothing lit up. Go figure.
We stopped worrying about what was on his MRI for the most part. We just live a day at a time and let be what is. |

Oh and it helps if you treated each other good before ms came along to invade. :p |
you can't really predict what an individual's disease course will be.
some people have few lesions and major sx's and some people have a lot of lesions and few sx's. your dr is a jerk. fire him and find another who will give you the time of time, validate how you feel and work with you on a plan of action. sounds like you're on the right track. |
