Television, radio and newspaper reports in Australia today are full of excitement over a Melbourne genetic discovery linked to multiple sclerosis.

Researchers say it's a breakthoughs into the cause of multiple sclerosis, and I thought you might like to see a a bit about what they're saying :

Australian and New Zealand scientists say new research which shows who is more likely to be at risk of multiple sclerosis (MS) and other autoimmune diseases could shed light in developing new treatments. The international study, coordinated by the University of Melbourne, has found two new locations of genes - chromosomes 12 and 20 - which indicate susceptibility to MS.

This statement from one of the links says a lot about Vit D and the autoimmune diseases. It explains why some of us would get the diseases and others in the same climate would not.

"Professor Simon Foote from the says one of them could affect how people with MS process vitamin D. "

If we don't process the D correctly, I wonder if taking supplements helps at all.
