Chiari malformation shunt problem?
 

I am 21 and have chiari brain malformation type 1. I have two shunts one vp and one lp. The VP shunt I have had for about a year and a half now. The last week i have had a horrible headache that wakes me up at night and the area where they placed my vp shunt is really sore. I am in the middle of switching insurance so i cant go to my doctor right now but should i be concerned enough to go to the E.R
