B12 Shots vs. Oral/sublingual
 

Is there anyone out there that has tried both methyl b-12 shots and oral or sublingual methyl b12? If so was there a difference between how well the shots worked compared to the oral or sublingual?

We have had some here who could not get B12 good and strong with shots and only were able to by using oral methylcobalamin.

There appear to be extremely rare individuals who do better with shots, but for the most part the daily oral is better, even when using the lesser forms of B12. This has been reported in a rarely up to date medical textbook for at least several years.

the shots taste terrible, the sublingual is much better.

also herbal teas are good for calming if you chose the relaxing variety

CTenaLouise-just to clarify when I said shots I meant injectable shots.

I may eventually try oral methyl-b12. I'm doing shots right now and am a little afraid to switch right now while I'm detoxing so much via chelation. I'll do these shots for another six months and then consider oral methyl-b12 depending on if I'm close to being done with chelation.

What is the brand of MethylB12 shots? I am getting cyanocobalamin shots (or was). I seem to be responding better to the methylcobalamin sublinguals.

I've tried a couple other compounding pharmacies including Wellness Pharmacy & College Pharmacy, but the shots all stung like crazy. I've never had any shots that sting when injecting the methyl-b12 from Hopewell.

yes, dear carolyn,
I had to take B 12 injections, all the way through high school.
I have hypoglycemia, so did my mom...
which may be the reason I have young onset Parkinson's disease, dxd age 30
by my son's pediatrition -but it took 2 years longer to find a neurologist
because that wasin the early 1990's and the popular belief at that time was
I was too young for PD...
:Sigh: I wish! but I am still trying to heal myself -the medicines just do not
cure PD at all... :)
when I was 9 years old we moved to the country.
I also drank well water that had DDT in it?
we lived outside the city, and the crop duster's would fly by, and
I shouldn't have stayed outside to watch?
well - I am doing very well as far as having this disease,
because I take mega dose of sublingual methylcobalamine...
and magnesium etc.

I know exactly what you mean with the well water & crop duster's flying by. I was raised on well water, but I really don't know if it had anything bad in it. However, I played outside all the time when the crop duster's flew over spraying our fields.

I take mb12 shots to help with methylation issues and detox. However, I did show low b-12 last time we tested. I don't notice any extra energy with the mb12 shots, but it certainly relieves constipation.

Many people do not experience energy with B12 treatment
 

That does not mean that it isn't helping the body repair.

sublingual vs. shots
 

I have used both sublingual and shots. The sublingual worked for a while, but my severe neuro pain returned so I went to shots. I get mine from Hopewell Pharmacy as someone else noted. I take two a day, 1200mcg each time, and have been mostly symptom free for two years.
