Nuclear Pharmaceutical Stress Test

I am going to have a Cardiac Stress Test, and since I have exercise intolerance, they are going to induce the stress with a drug. Has anybody had one of these? I am a bit wairy of the induced stress. It sounds awful. Anybody know if it is?

I had one last year M. I was really apprehensive about having someone speed my heart rate up with a medicine, but it wasn't bad at all. I had to lie still, on my left side...they put the med in and slowly sped my heart rate to I think it was 136 beats a minute. A doc was in the room doing the reading once the desired rate was met...then they started slowing the rate down...only took a few minutes total. Just felt kinda weird lying still and my heart beating like I'd ran a couple miles.

I had it! I was having weird stuff with my heart rate, and I wasnt stable enough to get up on the tread mill. They laid me on my left side, put in the meds, and my heart rate sped to 145 to 150. It felt a bit like the early stages of an anxiety attack. They got their reading, and then placed me back under that machine that whirls around you. When that was done, they gave me some anti anxiety meds, and let me rest for an hour. then the hubby took me home. easy breezy.
