Rebif, alleve, benadryl and Neurotin?????
Hi There!!!!!
My Pain isnt getting any better! I have been on alot of different meds. Now the nero wants to start me on neurotin (sp?). So when I take rebif, I take alleve or ibuprophen and benadryl approximately 1 hour before. I also take Cymbalta 2 x a day. Plus nerotin every night??? How sleepy will i be? How constipated? How well will it work? Thanks |
Since I'm not on any of those Meds, I can't help.....Just wanted to give you some...:hug:

Neurotin helps with nerve pain, so it depends on the type of pain you are having on how well it works. It can make one a little loopy when you first take it, so starting out at night is not too bad.
I take mine at 300mg in the morning, then can take 2-3 more throughout the day if needed. |
Neurontin affects everyone differently. I took it and gained nearly 20 pounds! Even my Neuro said that some people just cannot tolerate it and end up gaining alot of weight. It made me loopy and didn't entirely alleviate the nerve pain so I discontinued it. I can gain weight all by myself...don't need any help!! :o

well, so much for it making me loopy. Even with benadryl Im not sleeping.
Going on 3 day.......Wish me luck! On the bright side it has heped with the pain. KNOCK ON WOOD. |
it made me loopy, and it really messed with my sleeping pattern. I gained 20 pounds, and was still in pain. I put the bottle down, and had to work hard to get rid of that 20 since I was not active due to the pain.
its a great med when it works, it just didnt work for me. |
It made me sleepy at first. They normally will have you start taking it at night. I now take 900 mg , three times per day. Unfortunately, I have gained quite a bit of weight and the burning is now back on the top of my head. I do not want to increase the amount I am taking which will probably be my neuro's solution if I call. I have tried to slowly cut back on the dosage on my own, but have not been successful.
Jenn, I did not know you could take it on an as needed basis. |
