I know that there was a thread on this some time ago, but, just wanted any feedback opinions etc on this. Specialist has had me look through some papers re it as he said is something may consider trying since it has been cleared for use in pain management for neuroathy etc by NICE in UK and has had some trials.

I sort of have the view that nothing ventured... and also it is not a drug. He has said that if it is helpful it may help me reduc some of the meds I am on but says in all honesty thinks I will not come off them.

Not sure what to think, but having had bad time with a new drug not long back just dont want to try any more.

Have you ran the gambit of PT? injections? exercise/yoga/stretches? trigger point? lightz? Kinesio taping? balls? golf ball? oversized tennis balls? Miracle Balls? balloons? inversion table? aqua therapy? meditation? magnets? chiro? massage therapist? nautropathic/holistic medicine? traction? physiatrist? Lidodern Patches? Flector Patches? vitamins/supplements/herbs? BenGay? Biofreeze? ACTivon? horse linement(DSMO or D something)? inhaling water(now I've found akaline water really helps the rest of my body)? no caffeine? no alcohol? no smoking? TheraCane? ThermaCare wraps? etc?

Hi to answer your helpful post I have ried lots, but not inversion table as would not be able to bbreathe. traction make sthings worse, have lidoderm patches which are well not sure if do anything except mybe change surface sensation?? Horse linanment...Mmmm ther's a thought. I do know of someone who sprays WD40 on themselves . The stuff use on cars etc.. Not had caffeine since 2001. don't drink, don't smoke. Tried the wraps but the heat makes me feel quite nauseous and tried opposite but that increases pain.


I am a right pain that's for sure. Some of your things the BenGay and Activon I don't know what these are. Also why inhale water? Not good idea with me due to the breathing probs though.

BenGay and Activ-On are over the counter versions of Voltran Gel. Voltran has an analgesic in it as well as cayanne pepper. But you mentioned that heat does not help, and makes you nauseous... so these gels might not be good for you.

I personally like ice best. It took about 1-1/2 years for the burning pain from the pec minor releases to subside. But on days where I'm in bad pain, sometimes ice will help.

Hang in there girl - time may be the best healer of all.
