LordWood's Return To The Hospital.
 

Today (Monday June 29th) I was readmitted to Lancaster General Hospital. And have started the IV-Lidocaine. Its started out as a low dose and than each day will be raised. I am severely hoping with all my might this works. Many of you wished for me to let you know where i am and floor & room number as well as the address of the hospital. So here is your info:

For those of you that have not talked to me I am LordWood but my real name is Austin J. Wood. I will keep you up to date. I thank you all for your best wishes and prayers. Dear Austin,

It's great to be able to call you by your real name, it makes you seem like more of a person somehow. I hope that your hospital stay goes by quickly and isn't too unpleasant. I've heard that Lidocaine can make you sleep a lot, you'll have to let us know if that is true. Can you also tell us about the protocol that your doctors used - how many days they treat you, how much of an infusion they give you daily, etc.? It would be interesting to know.

Hey Austin,
I am glad to hear you are on the right road now. I will keep you in my prayers as well as everyone that has RSD. I had Lidocaine IV inpatient in June 2006 and it was helpful. Make sure you rest and really let the medicine heal your body. Don't worry about anything else except you. When you get home be real careful not to bump into anything...and rest. Once I had the treatment done I was able to move muscles in my foot and leg that I had not used for over 1 1/2 years. It was amazing. Hang in there buddy. You have all of us cheering you on.
