I signed then I cried
 

Well, today I went to my lawyer's office and signed the deed over to my in-laws at the order of the judge last month. It was not emotional to sign but when I got in my car and thought about losing the house I cried. I just feel so empty at the moment. My home of 12 years gone just like that.

i understand how signing can be sort of mechanical but how the emotions hit after. that happens to me at times. it must have been gut wrenching and heart wrenching too. :(

i am glad that you cried though... and got some of the grief out. you may cry again if you need to. but in between, you have some good stuff happening in your life too finally. and thankfully the legal crud is behind you.
