That's not too bad. What are your HDL's? They balance out you know if HDL is good.

it's 48, it's good because i take fish oil, but i was thinking of taking policosanol to knock down the LDL down a little bit.

You can try them if you don't mind the cost. I just don't think
they work well. They are not harmful.

You should read up on the Cholesterol Myths.

It is more important to prevent oxidation of LDL's , to raise HDL's, than worry about LDL #s. High triglycerides are worse IMO.

You might increase your fish oil to raise the HDL's. They won't do anything for LDL's however. In a couple of years we won't hear anything much more about "cholesterol".

This is why:

More and more doctors are discovering that we are chasing the wrong enemy.

yeah i agree, altho people who are on ssris have thin blood to begin with so just like an aspirin doesnt really agree with me, neither would the natto stuff. or maybe this stuff.

i did however take jarrow formulas toco sorb, which is basically palm oil or vitamin E.

so i figure that this policosanol stuff is different than that in that it's made from sugar cane, so it's defintely not vitamin E derivative. however,it is cheap, that was the 120 tab version....
