Dew in AZ

Hi All,
I arrived in AZ last Thursday. I started flaring Thursday morning,in the plane. I meditated myself into a non-stress zone, and before I knew it, I was here in AZ.
I just have to remember to take my meds on time...and I will be ok.

AZ time is 2 hrs behind OK time, and I am just now getting my barrings to keep a timed med schedule. I was awake from 6 AM Thursday til 3AM Saturday morning...then I collapsed ad slept like a baby, for 6 hrs.

It is so hot here,OMG! Yesterday, I was in the pool for over 7 hrs..hidden under a huge palm tree leaf, like a perch, in a lake, lol! I had two swim sessions of about 3 1/2 hrs each...I love the pool. I slept 8 hrs after my swim day..that is a miracle for me!!! Being outside for that amount of time is more than I have accomplished in over a year.

Thursday night I constructed a blog for my sister, Wanda, concerning her journey through the pancreatic cancer surgery. It is a place for her family and friends, and others, to watch over her as she deals with this culprit.
the blog site is :

http://wandakazen.blogspot.com/

Check it out, let me know what you think.

The surgery is early tomorrow morning,7/13/09; it is suppose to take 4-5 hrs, the surgery in itself...trying to get myself prepared for the day, in so many ways.

Wanda is really amazing with her positive attitude and unyielding spirit. She wears me out just observing her. Wanda used the palms of my hands as a heating pad on her sore knees(arthritis)..and tummy. Wanda is blown away at the rate of heat that my body puts out..guess RSD is good for something:p

Miss you all,
Dew

Linda,
You and your sister Wanda, are Amazing!

I want you to both know, that I'm here praying for you both!

I'm glad you can be together during these trying times.
Only Wanda can battle her Cancer.

Only You, can battle your RSD.

But, you can both support each other, and, WE can ALL help in that!

Again my prayers of support, to both of you!

Gorgeous Sister's and Families!

Dear Linda,

Talk about a symbiotic relationship! Looking at your post and blog, it sounds as though you two were made for each other. Would that all sibs had a bond even quarter that close.

Many studies have shown that a loving and supportive environment is the most conducive, overall, to health and recovery. And your sister is clearly getting it in spades. Seriously.

Good luck on the 'morrow.

much love,
Mike

ps The blog mentions something about cage fighting. Is that the one where razor blades are strapped to the opponents ankles? :icon_razz:

Very nice blog, Linda. You sister sounds amazing!

My MIL battled pancreatic cancer for most of a year. It is a horrible disease, as you know. I pray the surgery goes well and does what it needs to in order to help her win the battle!

Hey Dew,

I so recognize the breakthrough pain, esp. whenever there's long distances to travel.

It's great that you can enjoy yourself in the pool and both exercise as well as get shelter from the sun. You are spending a lot of time in that pool! :p I love that you were able to sleep for 8 hours!!!

I just checked out the blog and it's lovely to read, very calming in such a stressful time. Bless you for having started it for your sister!

I hope the surgery went well.
Keep us posted!

Enjoy the AZ weather, hope you can get some more sleep while you're there (such a lovely thing to hear that you slept well). :)

Hi Dew,
I'm so glad you are here and safe. I thought the blog was wonderful. Now I just have to figure out how to write on it. My friends set up a google site for me-guess it's called home page. Anyway, the swimming is really good for us. It is too hot though.
Sorry I missed your call today. I hope you get a change to call me and let me know how Wanda is from the surgery. My heart goes out to her
Take care of yourself and hope to talk with you soon, Your buddy, loretta
