Very sad, the ASU school of journalism is named after him. My family and I have known him since the 80's, this one hit's home.

My bigget memory is when I watched him live, with a lump in his throat, announce the death of John F. Kennedy.

Not to take any dignity away from him because he was in a league of his own but I wonder who will be numbers 2 and 3 now. We will always remember his distintive voice and journalism.

I remember Walter Cronkite very well. He was part of the news as long as I can remember. I always remember thinking that if Walter Cronkite reported it then it must be true. He lived a long and very purposeful life......may he rest in peace.

Walter had such a nice peaceful voice for all that news good or bad. Now may he rest in peace.
