Letter from SSDI Judge
Oh boy....got a letter cc'd to me but addressed to my SSDI lawyer regarding: Submitting any latest medical records that have not been sent yet for review ASAP......Says if he does not have a court date yet he will be notified in the near future.
Think that means my court date will be comming up soon? Its been almost 2 years. |
Sounds like it - and if they are requesting the latest medical reports too.
best of luck. |
After my judge got all the info he was ready to award the SSD without a hearing. And then he realized he knew me and it was sent to another judge who doesn't like to do that. But I still won at the hearing.

Looks like you're from Australia. That's why you don't know what SSDI is, probably. Social Security Disability Insurance. In the US, you need to have worked and contributed (automatically through your paycheck) a certain number of quarters (often totaling 10 years -- depends) and be considered by Social Security Administration (SSA) to be disabled. Whether or not you are considered disabled depends on your ability to work, rather than your dx. After you are approved, you are able to work part time, if you keep your income under a certain amount.Kari -- Best wishes! And, feel free to explain your situation more, to PF, if you wish.~ Faith |
