Help -need mores spacd to enter thread

The size of the box in posting a new thread or respose limits me on how much I can write. Others i notice can type lomger messages. How can I extend the box limit?

Just keep typing! The box will expand as you go along.

There is a limit however to the number of characters that vb (the software) typically allows users but that can be adjusted by the admins. I think the default is 10,000 but can't remember since mine was adjusted LONG ago to let ME add lengthy articles. Liz

What happens is the box does not expand. I keep typing and suddenly realize I am on a new page and the entire first page is missing. Does the post send out the previous page you typed even though you can no longer see it?

Thanks

are you using the quick reply box?
It will add lines as you go too but maybe it has a limit.

or the normal reply to thread button?
If your post is too large it will tell you when you submit the reply, and tell you how many characters?? you have.

I hit & held down the enter key in this post to see how far it will go and it just kept going- you might try an experiment like that to see what happens on your computer.

Of course you'll have to "delete" all those invisible "lines" before you submit the post.

you shouldn't be having any new pages ?/ when replying to a post - it's all in one page/box.
