Needing to hear from someone whose had ECT

I am posting this on all forums that might have some bearing on ECT. I have heard that this is becoming a considered tx for Parkinson's. My Doc has recommended ECT for my depression due to drug resistance to depression, but I don't want to read the technical aspects of it. I want to hear from one who had been there. Is there someone who can help me. I am there for anyone who should want to write me even though this is my first experience with the internet and I can't guarantee I will find my letters. Will try though. My mother had Parkinson's and I am being monitored for it as I have a tremor. ECT for anyone who has not heard of it is electroconvulsive therary, whereby electrodes are attached to your head, you are shocked, and even if it does work for the depression, your memory suffers. Thanks for your consideration! :)
