You made me cry
With your sweet words,
I had to go sit quietly
And watch our backyard birds.

I could not respond,
No, not right away,
Compliments embarrass me
And words are hard to say.

Knowing you may have
A disease whose end is clear,
Is difficult to talk about
Without shedding a tear.

Here you are fighting
For other people in need,
When you are one of those
For whom, to God, we should plead.

Life is so short,
Whether you are sick or not,
Giving back to others
Will never be forgot.

I wish that life were filled
With people like you,
Maybe then we'd all
Be more happy than blue.

I don't know what to say, yet I feel I've much to say.. That was beautiful, and Pat's right. You've touched me in more ways than you could possibly imagine, and I'm sure you've touched the lives of so many out there with your wonderful attitude and simply loving heart.

I'm embarrassed, I don't feel that I've deserved such beautiful words and am simply humbled by what you and the rest have done.
