Doctors........ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been waiting for a appointment with the neurologist who is a specialist in MG since April., the appoint ment was for August 27., I got a phone call yesterday saying he will be on vacation then so if I could come on August 20th., if not then I will have to wait till the end of October., and they were not very nice about it., I just started a part time job , and had already asked for the 27th.., I told the girl this and she just said if you can't come then you will just have to wait.........now I am wondering what kind of office is this that they are so rude., maybe it is just I am so angry., I made the appointment for the 20th and I will ask for it off at work., but I just feel so angry.
My eyes blurriness etc., have been worse since I started work., so I don't know what to expect from this visit. What do they usually do first? Tests, or just consultation. Thanks all How has everyone been? |
Have you actually been DXed with MG yet? If not then the Dr. should ask a bunch of questions and do a tensilon shot test and order other tests to be done. You are right to be upset with your Dr.s office, it always boggles my mind that Dr.s staff seems so "cold" to patients. As for your vision getting worse since working makes sense as stress or activity or heat makes symptoms worse. I hate that I am no longer working {I was working part time} it just seems lately that eating wears me out..LOL, but hey summer will be over soon and cool weather shall be returning with, hopefully my strength. :)

I really feel for you, I have the total opposite with my neuros office. I know my neuros receptionist on a first name basis, she knows me well. She is always happy to talk to me and cheerful. I even sent her a thankyou card, because I really do appreciate all she does for me, and I know how lucky Iam to have her at the end of the phone.

wow, i must have lucked out. seems finding a good neuro is sometimes a problem. mine was referred by the g.p. who first noticed my mg symptoms. he treats many mg patients and was very quick to get me on mestinon to control the symptoms. ran all the appropriate tests and then started the steroids for long term therapy. great guy, also has a psych degree. he even gives me a break on fees knowing i'm paying for treatment out of pocket.
