Switching meds

Could someone help me with switching from lexapro to paxil. Been taking 5 mg. lexapro for three years. I never liked it and want to return to paxil. So even tho I am on a low dose of lexapro I'd like some input on the switching schedule. Today I cut the lexapro in half and will pick up my Rx for 20 mg. Paxil. I know I will start off with 10 mg. Paxil but when should I eliminate the lexapro altogether? Thanks for any input.

Hello, and welcome to NeuroTalk!

Is the same doctor prescribing these two meds? I think the best thing to do would be to contact your doctor's office and have them give you instructions on how to stop the Lexapro.
