Social Security for ADHD

I'm 60 and retired December 1st because I couldn't handle going to work anymore.

I was only working part-time, but it got to be too much to handle. I've fought this all my life and just can't do it anymore.

I'm currently going through the process of getting an ADHD diagnosis at my local mental health center and will have it by next week.

I intend to file a disability claim with social security (in fact I have been working on it on their website for a couple of weeks and will file when my diagnosis is confirmed).

All I want to accomplish is to start drawing my social security now instead of at 62 to help with expenses.

Has anyone had any experience with such a claim or heard of anybody doing this?
