Do your bruises hurt more than they used to?

I don't know if I'm being paranoid but I seem to be bruising worse, longer and more painful since all this stuff hit the fan. I recall the beginning of the year having loads of bruises on my legs from unknown causes.
Now I have a bruised knee, stinging, stabbing and tight. I know what CAUSED the bruise, just why is it lasting so long? and why getting worse??

On an aside, I took the advice of the receptionist at my neuro to get back on my horse. He threw me off... I have bruises the size of texas, one on my butt, one on my knee. But i survived.

Why so much pain???

What meds are you on? That could have something to do with it???

Im sorry, feel better..

I think I'd mention this to my Neuro. I've always bruised easily but it just depends on how had I whack myself as to how sore it stays.

Like Sally said, it could be your meds. I'd definitely have my doctor check it out.

I don't know how old you are. But I find now that i'm older, my bruises are more visable. Not bruising easier, just able to see them as my skin gets older - I'm less pale than I used to be but your skin still gets thinner. And they don't hurt more, they hurt less. I barely notice most of them.

Like already said, rule out meds first.

It could be two drugs interacting with each other. Aren't you fairly new to Betaseron? It's worth checking out. Here's a link to a drug interaction checker:

yep! once I started taking MS drugs, I bruise easy and they take longer to go away. Before MS you had to hit me with a truck to get me to bruise. Now if I bump into the cabinet I have a whopper.

hang in there.

I'm only on Beta, alternate days. and a couple of brufen to ease the flu afterwards. nothing else.

Approaching 40 years on this earth. Blimey, didn't that go quick !!

I found another interesting occurence too... there are some shiatsu chairs at a place i work and at break time I go have a massage. The bumpy things go up and down your spine in a circular motion, one on each side, yum.
But the one I had was broken... only one side went round, the other seemed not to be rotating. So I sat in the other chair. and funny old thing, only one of those worked too !!!
Further exploration found that the roundy roundy things were in perfect order. It was ME that was broken !!! I only feel the circular motion on the right side of my back... the left just feels dull.
Poo, I'm broken. Can I get a refund?
