Confused about taxes again

I am confused about taxes. I know they said to call the tax adviser, but I don't want to pay someone for their advice before I decide to use them. Okay here it is (hypothetically) I got back pay just now for the past 2 years (July 2007 to present) The pay ssi: 9000, SSDI 9000, then my childs SSDI: 10000. So if I were to get married before the year is out (my boyfriend makes around $20000 yr), how does that work. I am not getting any future SSI.I will get $860/mo for SSDI and son will get 410/mo for SSDI (as my dependent, I am the disabled one). (Starting now). Anyway, do they split the payments up for taxes for instance $2500 for 2007, 6500 for 2007, etc? Then if or if not, how does that work if I were to get married, how does the tax thing work? How do we file taxes, or would it be better to wait and get married next year? Or does it make a difference?

Thanks ahead of time.
