What does it take to get out of pain contract?

SunshineGirl: First of all I think that we all need more information about what the Dr's are doing to you? Also what kind of pain contract are you in? We all what to help you with this one! Please give us more details so we can help you as much as we can. Always Breezy55 :hug:

I don't know the specifics - but documenting is a good thing.
like- what you are feeling , your pain levels, if you told pain dr about pain not being controlled and nothing was done or no med changes... just jot down 4 times a day or whatever - if you have a major increase in pain when meds wear off that sort of stuff. dates, times etc all that will be good to have if they try to say you are not compliant... |

...that going to another pain management place might do it. There has to be a mechanism in place for it, 'cause even the AMA know there are quacks out there. Also, I know a friend of mine who had signed such a contract and she went to a new doc after her old doc told her she wasn't going to do anything for her and would block any attempt to. The goofy doc told her she would not send her medical records to any other doc, that she basically was stuck. The new doc informed my friend that the goofy doc was a liar.
