Rough Night....
Hello All....
Another rough night..... I took a sleep aid and woke up at 2 am with burning pains in my hands and legs. I had an uncontrollable urge to move my legs (I'm guessing this is RLS). Downed 800 mg Neurontin and an hour later I had some relief. I also have pain in pelvis and ribs. I can't lie down on my stomach without feeling pain and pressure in those areas. I have the same feeling in my knees. Is this normal for P/N? |
I too am up a lot of night because of the pain and then the anxiety. Have you tried anything for sleep? I was given zabaflex which is for pain but also helps sleep that assists. I am on serequel which does not help me with sleep but a lady I know it has helped her so much. There are other meds like ativan, ambien, etc that may help. I am currently trying a variety to see what may help. I am not sure about the pain you are describing. We all have different ways it can feel. Have you talked to your doctor about this? Also are you on neurontin daily? I am but I take it in 3 split doses so was confused by how you took it for as needed or maybe I am so confused. Hope you are feeling better

You may need to look at getting something to help you sleep and will help with the PN as well. Amitriptyline comes to mind. Best of luck. |
Yep, just like some of you, the urge to move those legs. Can't sleep I have to take a sleeping pill in order to get any sleep.
Hope you talk with your doctor about a sleeping aid. It has been a miracle for me and I hope it can for you. Trish :grouphug: |

I can definitely relate to the knee pain. Sometimes the neuropathy really acts up in those areas. The pain above the knees and in the knees can be intense. I have pain in the rib areas too, but it's really more surface. I'm sorry you are having to deal with this. Those of us here can really understand, and you are not alone. It's hard to have hope under these circumstances, but this disease, the PN, can change, and you never know what direction it might take. |
