What a numbhead!
Literally. I hate it when my scalp and forehead and cheeks and lip feel all stiff and numbish. The first time it happened, I thought I was probably having a stroke.
When I raise my eyebrows, it feels as though the skin on my forehead is thick and tight. It's weird and creepy. I'm thinking probably the heat has awakened a lesion on my numbhead nerve. |
That's how the left side of my face is when I'm tired.
I told my neuro that side is slow to work, feels stiff and harder to use- he looked at me like I was THICK and asked for me to put it into words so he could write it down. I just DID! I told him. He said 'No, tell me in words that make sense to someone else'. Thanks for nothing. Does the 'heat awaken lesions' ????? Is that what happens??? Is that how it works???? |
Oh dear, I have no idea how it works! I know that such things as heat, stress, etc. exacerbate symptoms for some of us, but my comment about heat waking up lesions was, well, malarkey. Sorry to confuse or alarm you with my "colorful" description!

Isn't that the way your forehead is supposed to feel?? :D

B2Y
Sorry you're feeling cruddy. I hate the tuggy feeling of the face that you describe! I've often thought I was having a stroke with all the burning, tingling, numbness I get in the head and face. Rotten stuff! |
