Default Looking For A New Doctor in PA, DE, NJ, MD, NY area

I live in PA and have had what I consider to be the best dr. Unfortunately Dr. Maleki has moved to Ohio and I just can not make that trip to see him. So I really need to find a dr. If there is anyone that can help me I would greatly appreciate it as I really need a treatment and am in terrible pain. I can't even get an appointment to see the replacement dr. until late next month and that's just for the initial visit. I could really use some help if anyone knows of any drs.

I don't but I always suggest people call a major university or teaching hospital near you. Are you looking for a pain doctor or neuro etc. I would call that dept and then ask if they have someone who deals a lot with RSD. I had been to many places like Cleveland and was not having the best luck. I did was I suggest to you and actually found my best pain doctor out of many. I am thinking people will suggest Dr Shwartzman but his wait list is a year plus.Good luck I know how hard it is to find a good doctor.

I see doctor Philip Getson in Marlton NJ and out of the 149 doctors in 10 states I have seen is is without a doubt the best, as he actually cares and no matter the time if we need him he is there. Getson is a collegue of Schwartzman and was actually with him when they started doing the ketamine and then branched out so his own office. This is his profile http://www.thermographicdiagnosticim...ip-getson.html and his phone# is 856-983-7246. To see him I called the office and they will ask for all your records he will then go over them and then call to set up an appointment. At the time I lived in Alaska but within 1 week of sending my records I had an appt. with him for 2 weeks from then as I needed time to get there.
There is also a doctor in NY I saw he is in the hospital for special surgery and his name is Dr Richmond he too was wonderful. I was actually sent to richmond by Getson as I needed a surgery done but for the complicated RSD I have they both have done a great job.

You could also try Dr Knobler, in Fort Washington, PA.
I've been with him for at least 15 years.
He was Dr Schwartzman's partner @ Jefferson.

He takes no insurance. But, he's a wonderful guy, great family, I know them all.
Really nice folks.

If you need his number, PM me.

You can certainly say that "Pete Woj" recomended you to him.

Good luck!

Default Delaware and PA doctors

If you are willing to travel, I am in Delaware and HIGHLY recommend my pain specialist, Dr. Ginger Chiang, with Delaware Back Pain. She has several offices. I have been very pleased with her approach- she wants to treat the individual, and doesn't want to just medicate medicate medicate. She will do what needs to be done to make your life a fulfilling one.

If you want to stay in PA, I also highly recommend the Lankenau Pain Center at Lankenau Hospital in Wynwood. I see Dr. Jalali, but any of the doctors are good. Dr. Jalali has the same approach as Dr. Chiang (Jalali actually is Chiang's mentor when she was in training), which is why I have been very happy with both- they are on the same page in terms of treatment.

Hope that helps, please let me know if you need more info!

Hello,

Welcome to NT. I you have some success with getting an appointment from the advice on here. So that you can get some relief.

Just curious, I was a patient of Dr. Maleki's and drove from OH to PA to see him. Do you know where he went? Was it to the Cleveland Clinic?

Thanks for your help,
Sherrie
